Essendon Outdoor Fitness & Bootcamp - T-Spine Mobilisation

The thoracic spine (12 vertebrae starting just below the neck of the spine) is often a neglected part of our spine.

It is quite prone to stiffness and restriction since it is a difficult area of the body to stretch.

A stiff thoracic spine can cause pain between the shoulder blades and neck but can also go down the chain and cause issues of the lower spine.

Our modern lives spending hours either in the car or sitting closed off in front of computer screens, as well as general poor posture, can cause this restriction and pain or make it worse!

Some self-massage and mobilization in this area can really help free up the spine and we work on this daily at our Group Training in Essendon as it's such a common issue.

Watch the short video on how to loosen and mobilize your spine, it's simple to do!
